There are plenty of schemes to help and support women entrepreneurs. These are mostly from the Government of India. A few states have also set up their own schemes. In the rural areas, Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and Farmers Producers Organizations (FPOs) have been set up, which help the rural entrepreneurs.
India Women Ventures aims to bring to light to women entrepreneurs all the current schemes and programs.
Standup India Scheme by SIDBI
The objective of the SUI scheme is to facilitate bank loans between Rs.10 lakh and Rs. 1 Crore to at least one Scheduled Caste (SC) or Scheduled Tribe (ST) borrower and at least one woman-borrower per bank branch for setting up a greenfield enterprise. This enterprise may be in manufacturing, services or the trading sector. In case of non-individual enterprises at least 51% of the shareholding and controlling stake should be held by either an SC/ST or woman entrepreneur.

• MUDRA (Tarun) – above Rs. 5,00,000 upto Rs. 10,00,000
• Stand-Up India for SC/ST and Women – Rs. 10 lakh to Rs. 100 lakh,
• SME loans – upto Rs. 10 crore
The portal, as a virtual market place endeavours to provide ‘end to end’ solutions not only for credit delivery but also for the host of credit-plus services by way of hand holding support, application tracking, multiple interfaces with stakeholders (i.e. banks, service providers, applicants).
Trade Related Entrepreneurship Assistance & Development (TREAD) Scheme for Women
This scheme envisages economic empowerment of women by providing credit (through NGOs), training, development and counselling, extension activities related to trades, products, services etc. The GOI provides grants under different schemes to NGOs and institutions that help women entrepreneurs either in establishing their businesses or provide training to women to enable them to run their businesses.
